NOT Just Another Manic Monday

Happy Monday!

You think I'm drunk don't you? I'm not though, usually Monday's are just the 'get back into the rhythm of the work week' transitional day that almost always sucks and since I work this week and then I'm off on holidays...this is a Monday I can handle. Next Monday though Bean will be 19 and I might cry or maybe sniffle a bit.

Yesterday we went and saw Guardians of the Galaxy and considering all of the murmurs and uncertainty about the release of the film I enjoyed it! Alot actually and even some people cried...not me but sitting in between Blondunicorn and Bean if I had a box of tissues they would have been gone. I can't wait for the sequel and at least I'll have many other movie releases to keep me occupied until then.

It was a good time though!

We noticed though who the true Marvel believers are in the theater. Once the credits started rolling Allan and Bean got up to leave me and BU stayed firmly planted in our seats along with about half the theater until the final credits were done and the cut-scene was shown. I'm not going to spoil it but it you grew up in the 80's the final scene will remind you of something that was surprisingly big back then and now I don't know why! On the same trip down memory lane on Sat night I fell asleep watching Masters of the Universe...now that was a flashback.

It was also a week for people to get over their fears like I watched BU get over her fear of Snakes by holding Zena the largest of the 6 Bean has! She must be about 4 feet long and a thick girl but she did it and we were proud of her for it! My other Blonde bestie is about to embark on home ownership and although the fear is more her husbands than hers that's a big giant step to take and it's been a long time coming. I can just see him with the pen though to the sign papers and in his head he's chanting "Omg Omg Omg".

That's it for me right now! I'm on my own in the office this week and my lunch break is over just like Monday almost is!

A Little Bit Of Everything Even Clowns...

Oh it's Monday again, although I posted last week on a Wednesday...I think anyway. Now it's Monday!

I'm surprisingly chipper today even though most Mondays are a stay away from me zone until I've had about 5 cups of coffee. Maybe the weekend rain helped before we go back to the hot temps making for a beautiful July.

Ugh...I'm even too chipper for myself to handle.

How were the last few days? Pretty good! Lazy yet productive not necessarily in that order.

Bean brought home 2 more snakes, like the other 3 weren't enough but they are pretty cool and one of them is the biggest one yet in the house and her name is Xena ( yes I used to LOVE that show ) and Damien not Damien as she says because she wants to change his name so he's DND to me now, so they reside with Dr. Kinky MD, Julius Squeezer, and Matilda ( Big Mama I call her ). Now though she is not the biggest one anymore, but come on B the Spiders are being neglected. Not that you should get more because your Auntie Lo might jump out the window and run screaming into the night and straight into the arms of carnivorous Squirrels. (Long story)

I spent time writing and editing yesterday and that felt really good because I've been neglecting that part of my life as new things I'm interested in, want to learn and explore in regards to costuming and fabrication. When you watch shows like Heroes of Cosplay and Face Off it makes a girl want to get messy. So crafting and playing with different mediums has been leading the way. My laptop got so much use yesterday that I think it had a stroke and needed a rest. I was almost scared when I went and turned it on this morning thinking that I was just going to see a blank screen but I didn't. It's all good.

Oh and to my boy Craig who posted a video of a guy in a terrifying clown suit that purposely scares the crap out of people with his creepy clown face and creepy music box. F**K You! That was disturbing and I hate you for it because after it started I COULD NOT look away and found myself screaming RUN and NOPENOPENOPE to everyone that encountered this guy in the video. You know what I want to see though...

The one person that didn't go running and chased that psycho down instead! You know turn the tables and see if he got scared. To see the look of shock on his creepy face would be awesome!

Oh something new! I have a couple of sites I was asked to check out and one that wasn't but I will anyway because it was mentioned to me and I'm curious. That is super cool because they asked me which is also super odd because they asked me, whatever I'll go with it and I'm glad to. So besides all of the work I'm piling on myself it feels like I have 4 jobs.

I guess I do.

Happy Friday! Creepy Crawlies Oh My!

Morning! It's Friday so Happy Friday to everyone!

We're gearing up for a Halloween party for the kids next weekend and it should be fun...well I hope it's fun for them. I've heard about and seen a costume or two and I have to say that 1 in particular had me giggling already. Remember the blueberry kid from Charlie and the chocolate factory? That is completely what this costume reminds me of. So bring it kidlets!

We have a couple of new additions to the house via Bean and Allan. Some time ago they got a Rose haired Tarantula, Bellatrix is her name but she's aggressive so we can't really touch her, but she's pink! This is the daughter who wouldn't go to sleep at night until I killed the tiny little spider in the corner of her room now she has one almost as big as her fist. After that she had a spider infatuation and bought 2 more and orange something or other that is cool, hand trained and slow...very slow. Until the sex it, it's name is Curly, plus a teeny tiny one I named Bitty but she didn't make it. The night before last the brought home a snake. A baby Pastel Ball Python, good grief it can grow to be about 5 feet long but it's SO COOL! It might eat my cats one day but, I like her and she likes me although we don't know what it is yet I'm feeling girly snake.

Now my oldest wants one and my roommate still wants a squirrel. Even more so now. I think I get a squirrel request almost once a day now, I've changed her ring tone to chittering squirrels and the answer is still NO. 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 fire belly toads, 2 spiders, 1 snake and a hedgehog. If you count the crickets used to feed the toads and the spiders we have a whole lot going on here. Oh and if you count the family of Raccoon's and the Skunks we still have around, it's crazy!

So besides that fact that it took Bean 18 years to get into all of the creepy crawly things and now she fights Wolf spiders in a jar... ( Weird ass thing to do ) her new interests are pretty cool and the snake is oddly calming.

Grand baby boy has been entered in a Gerber baby contest and I hope he wins because he's the cutest thing ever!

Sese got to go see the Bates Motel set!

The past 6 weeks of premieres has overloaded my PVR with my existing shows and new ones like Hostages, American Horror Story Coven, The Walking Dead! OMG the countdown was on for that one, Supernatural and so many more!
