Planning The Future, Easier Said Than Done.

Hello Lovelies!

Now that Winter is gone the Spring purge begins. Gone are the darker days that made us just want to stay home in the nice warm cozy confines of our homes away from the sideways rain and the chill of winter. Although it is Spring and here we will still get the sideways rain, it's warmer and brighter though so it doesn't seem as bad as the previous seasons rain. When the sun is shining though you get to see all of the dust bunnies and if there's one thing I hate more than laundry it's dusting.

So how do you purge your home? I say Purge instead of Spring clean because in a house with 7 people, Spring cleaning is purging. Do you use a list? Do you formulate an extensive plan of attack? I prefer to go room by room but reality has me starting something in one room just to move on to another and get distracted by other things, dogs, cats, kids or young adults I should say.

Now thanks to the Under The Covers Book Blog that I follow on Twitter and now every other avenue they have I am trying something new this year.

I can't write lists...I forget them or never look at them after I have written them. To Do lists don't get done, Shopping lists get left on the table behind you know what I mean. Now Bean has had this planning thing going for years now but I never put much stock in it for myself and it's only now that I considered it but a YouTube post from UTC was what sold me and made me think I should give it a try. Sure I use my phone reminders and Calendar but there seems to be something about writing it down and having to look at it all of the time.

So I went out and Chapters was having a sale on their 17 month planners and that was fine by me to get things started so I picked this up last week,
it's a little more pink than I'm into and selection was limited in store but if this works out for me it will be much more um...me for next year.

Maybe I can keep everything straight between reading, writing, bike building, indoor gardening while keeping my social media and household intact. You don't realize how much stuff you have to do until you write it all down and realize that there are not enough hours in each day.

So it's Monday and on Monday's my Twitter and Tumblr feeds are full of musical posts because #musiccreatesmotion and everyday has it's own soundtrack. My Freelance Friday project will start Apr 1, 2016 and I'm excited so if you have any artwork, musical talent or just want to tell a story then let me know!

Ok Guys! Have a great week!

See Ya

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hello Lovelies!

We are almost in the middle of Feb now and it's moving really fast. I'm thank full for that in some ways but not in others.

Thankful because it brings RRSP season to an end and brings T home with us next week, hopefully for good and in a much better place than she was. Bean is taking a shot at Carpentry ( oh god ) by building a rack for all of her snakes. Let's hope there are no hospital visits. Don't get me wrong I'm sure she'll manage after she loses her mind in frustration about 1000 times before she slips into that gear where is should all make sense. Her losing her mind is dangerous for those around her though so I hope she gets through a most of that before I get home from work.

My weekend was pretty good weather wise and on the home front. Friday I let loose a little...or a lot, entertained the household and felt it the next day. Sat there was some spring cleaning done outside and you don't realize how big things are ( yard and deck ) until all of the junk is gone, and a friend came in from Calgary for the shortest visit ever, 45 mins after driving all that way through snowy mountain passes to drop of a Harley for Choo. Sunday well...the Superbowl. Enough said.

Monday was Family Day here and it was B-E-A-uitful! Uncharacteristically warm, like t-shirt warm and even my roses are starting to grow new leaves. today it's supposed to hit 15 degrees downtown but it was pretty frosty this morning. Almost lost the little dog as he slide across the deck towards the stairs but he recovered.

My girl came home yesterday a 2001 Sportster and would you believe the men in my life gave me flack about not cleaning her right away? Look boys I will devote a day to cleaning and polishing her, I will be so meticulous that you'll want me to polish yours too so don't you worry your pretty little heads about it.

So that was my weekend and this coming weekend all I can think about is Deadpool and The Walking Dead. I'm so glad they are both almost here!

Alright gotta go!

Have a good week.

See Ya

As Days Go By...

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you had a fabulous weekend! The weather was awesome for once and as much as I told myself that yard work would happen...it really didn't...at all, the thought was whisked away as soon as it entered my mind so I could just sit and soak up the sun.

Have you ever been sitting quietly and relaxing in the sun and then you notice your dog panting, then you notice it's not just one dog panting but all 3 of them. All of a sudden your temp spikes up 10 degrees because the sound of them makes you notice how hot they really are! Then your kid comes up and pours them a nice fresh bowl of water and even puts ice in it and then...none of them will drink it, they just watch the ice swirl around and melt. They prefer to lay in the sun on the hot deck and die of thirst just to soak up the rays they've been lacking and they're too happy to be outside, not cooped up in the house.

Spring has truly sprung and any lack of rain right now is welcomed.

I realized today that because I actually started this post yesterday, Monday seemed to fly by and with the increase of nice weather the days seem to move faster which...sucks but at the same time moves the work week along so we can get to the weekend.

Speaking of the weekend I finally had the chance to try Angry Orchard Hard Cider and really...it's all because of the advertising, the grumpy old guy and...well...I like Cider. Now because if this I feel the need this spring and summer because you know...tis the season for deck parties, that I'll have to try new things especially with so many micro breweries pumping out new products. Taste Testing is mandatory.

Ok now it's Wednesday! Um...Happy hump day? Now me being me I didn't want to have to restart my post each day so this is what you get a continuation! I don't even remember where I was going with my post on Monday but the days have progressed and here we are HUMP DAY!

Ok I'm going to cut this one short just because next thing you know it will be Thurs or Fri so I'll leave you with a random photo of...

a...tree.

because... it was a random pic and I've been taking alot of them lately.

Ok Guys have a great rest of the week!

See Ya

The End or the Beginning?

Well it's been a whirlwind few weeks! I wrote a post not so long ago about losing a co-worker and now the hammer has fallen down to me. This will be my last week and then I will be joining the ranks of the UnEmployed! (Temporarily I hope)

With an emotional week ahead and the statement that "Life begins at 40" stuck in my brain I can only hope that it does and think positively! ( with back-up plans...you know just in case. )

So it's short and sweet today guys. I owed you a pic from last week and one from this one and maybe one more just because!

See ya Soon!
