Hello Lovelies,
After my Just A Little Road Trip post I was surprised to have the "Are you OK?" questions considering it wasn't really about me but people I know that are going through tough times right now and I wish I could help them more. So far so good and I think they're turning a corner!
Well one of them is sure to be a corner that turns into a brick wall but sometimes you just can't fight that fucked up logic.
I'll have the band-aids ready though so I can rip them all off at the same time when they need to be.
So with that out of the way. How ya been? Did you have a good week? Awesome because it's October now officially and the parade of costumes and scary movies and days of celebration are headed our way. Bean is in super decorator mode...although she keeps talking about Christmas thus making me want to lock her in the closet with the Xmas decorations until Dec, because I know her and Nov 1 she'll have all things Halloween stripped and all the greens and reds and other holiday things will make it look like not only Santa threw up in our house but all the elves and reindeer too.
Oh...joy...and not to the world. Stop that train right there!
First up! Events I'm going to force my family to check out over the next few weeks!

There are so many more to come and return like Fright Night @ Playland and the Ghost Train as usual every year. Next week begins my parade of awful costumes and the prep for our 3rd Annual Halloween Party and many days of AMC's Fearfest, AHS, Supernatural and THE WALKING DEAD!
Ya I'm a tad excited.
OK off with you and have a great week and remember that if you have any suggestions or ideas to offer contact me and put me to work!
See Ya!

The Countdown has...um... is 27 Days in Already.
Hello Lovelies!
Well those of you that still are lovely because I seem to see a growing trend with some of you and your haunting clown pics just to piss me off have no given me the intense need for payback and payback will be dealt out accordingly.
Usually I'm the passive aggressive one that takes everything in stride but it seems like now I'm going to have to bite a few of you (family or not) in order to get you to stop because as I keep saying I don't like it, I don't like them and you just keep coming...except the pregnant one because well, she's pregnant and she likes to bug me more about my hatred of Hummus and Pesto (So Gross) so her clown posting is not an issue seeing as she only did it once.
Now for the rest of you ungrateful little heathens I'm done with it. So take it easy children and sleep well because Mama's done playing, pissed and coming for you.
Now on to the fun stuff!
With Halloween just a few days away now the urgency to get things done is feeling like a bit of a pressure cooker. We like to have a signature drink for the evening as well as obviously Halloween themed food, a playlist needs to be made, furniture moved and a classic B-rated Horror flick to set the mood.
As usual Whiskey will be hiding behind the closet person all of this week as fireworks go off all over town, Smokey will bark at the noise those fireworks make and California will try and steal stuff off the table in a not so surprisingly obvious fashion.
Not a cat will be seen except maybe Oz the kitty cat mob boss who has no fear unless you carry a spray bottle the other 2 will stay far...far away from people that wander around perhaps dressed like...

Now yes I have googled these but really who would have thought of this!
or
this stuff takes imagination and I love it!
I can't wait to see what costumes will grace my door of Friday this Friday the 31st. Is it strange that if you turn the numbers around you'd have a Friday the 13th?
Easy Breezy this week guys there's a lot to do and so MUCH fun to be had at the end of the line!
So excited!
Have a great week and an even greater Halloween!
See Ya

Halloween! Bring It!
As you know Halloween is my favourite holiday that's not a holiday!
This Saturday my house will be full of costumes and happy people doing stupid things...more than 1 camera will be rolling so be careful.
So NO ONE can talk about Christmas until Halloween is over...please. It's bad enough that when I walk into Walmart, Costco or RRSS that I see decorations already and imagine wings sprouting on my money as flies away. I heard a Christmas carol the other day too UGH...
There's plenty to see and plenty to do for the next week if you into going to see Fright Night at Playland or the Pumpkin Patch, the Corn Maze, the Stanley Park Ghost Train and this!
For the Parade of Lost Souls I heard that there will be a Thriller Flash Mob at some point!
Back to the grind guys!
See Ya

Zombie Combat Zone & The Zombie Syndrome
The Zombie Combat Zone lets you hunt zombies after dark, in a live-action paintball game. Last year, the Zombie Combat Zone debuted in Surrey; it is now located at Semiahmoo Park, in White Rock. Must be booked in advance, and must be at least 16 to participate!
Zombie Combat Zone - Open Thursdays - Fridays only
The Zombie Syndrome: On Death Island returns for its second year to the streets of Vancouver. This interactive theatre experience lets the audience participate in a live-action, save-the-world zombie scenario, complete with live-action zombies.
The Zombie Syndrome: On Death Island - Tuesday, October 1 - Sunday, November 3, 2013
What a great way to fuel my fear!
Parade of Lost Souls
For many years, the Parade of Lost Souls on Commercial Drive was theVancouver Halloween event: the procession / parade of ghouls and ghosts was the destination for people who took their Halloween seriously. But Public Dreams, the organizers of the Parade of Lost Souls, became overwhelmed by the size of the event and have, starting in 2010, scaled down the procession considerably. Now, in 2013, as part of a process of "handing over" the Parade (Public Dreams will not host the event next year), the event is being co-organized by its designated successor, the Dusty Flowerpot Cabaret.
The actual East Van location for the 2013 Parade will be revealed at 12am on October 26 on the Public Dreams website and will take place that night, from 6:30pm - 9:30pm.
Saturday, October 26
Back to the grind guys!
See Ya
