A Year Later...Can It Better?

Hi Lovelies!

Here we are almost halfway through November and with only 7 weeks left of the year it feels like things have moved incredibly fast for 2014.

I felt reflective...

This time last year I was unemployed, EI penalized me 11 weeks and everything was pretty much falling apart. If the duct tape I call my family wasn't there helping hold things together, I might have had to commit to the padded room or have been living down by the river but thanks to all of them that pulled together and helped get us through that this year is very different...not by much in some cases but much better than last November.

By December 2013 I had a new job and a new heart rate...a slower one as I began to calm down. The job is good, had it's ups and downs and yet still in a field and industry I didn't want to be in any longer so here's my dilemma...

1) Do I continue to plug along everyday doing the best work I can and continue to build this as my career?

2) Do I hang out for a while longer while I  pursue other things as well to get into my field of choice?

3) Do I build something brand new for myself and put my passion and effort into making that work?

4) Win the lottery? ( If only! Whistler here I come )

You guys know I don't like to talk about the bad things and I'm not really, we're still here fighting through everyday and of course I know what the sensible choice should be. How do you know when the best time is to move forward? How do you do it without screwing everything else up that you've built? How do you know it's not too late to build something that can represent what you love? I have so many things that I love and if I could put them all into one place that would be awesome!

So a year later...can it be better? Ummm it better be! By this time next year there is going to be something new and exciting and hopefully all consuming!

You guys will be there every step of the way with me.

With that said I love you all and hope that this doesn't seem depressing because it's not supposed to be! Things are looking up so this was my semi sad rant for the next 6 months...I hope anyway!

Side note and completely unrelated...being Movember and all seeing men all over growing their staches, I thought after watching Tombstone yesterday,  best...mustache....movie...EVER! All shapes and sizes in there, almost every character had one.

Sam Elliot's is still my favourite though.

Ugh... Christmas is coming...sooner rather than later. Bean has already started decorating the house and making her decorations by hand and glue gun. We finally have frost outside and getting out of bed is so much harder now but at least for this week there's no rain and that is a really good thing for us!

OK guys I hope you have a good week!

See Ya

I Can See Your Nipples and So Can Everyone Else!

Ha I bet you thought you were going to see something else right? Well maybe it I can find the right image for the example you'll see someones nipples or not because the kids read this and like they want to see their mother posting pictures of nipples.

I work downtown and you can see a lot of weird things down there but not usually during the daytime unless they are homeless looking for cash but I saw not 1 but 3 girls wearing those knitted meshy tops with nothing underneath. I wish I took a picture so you could see what I'm talking about but that would have been creepy. Maybe less creepy that it was by a woman than a man but still creepy. Honestly I probably wouldn't have noticed except that one of them had very large boobs and you just can't miss that.

Brief flashback to the 80's and mesh tops but we had tank tops or bikini tops underneath you know the ones that guys would wear too sometimes, like this guy.

Love the hair and the bandanna omg and the DOG COLLAR! Ugh...the 80's it's like a bad acid trip.

 Anyway...

So you can imagine ladies that walking around bra-less in a shirt with knitted holes is going to rub things the wrong way, or the right way but just looks completely wrong because the holes were in the perfect place to entice staring.

Now really it's like a car accident you can't look away from! My first reaction was "Am I seeing this right?"

My next one was "Don't look, don't look. Screw it I'm looking"

Then "Now I can't stop looking."

Last I giggled because it was funny to see the three of them walking up the street and almost every man in the vicinity in suits and ties doing double and triple takes of the nipple girl.

So to all my lovely beautiful girls out there I know you're all not the type to be parading nipples around but if you ever have the inclination to do something like that I might have to lock you up in a padded cell...forever...and duct tape your nipples.

Those Were The Days!

As Fall approaches and the weather gets cooler, I start thinking about the cozy times ahead as we head into the dreaded holiday season. What comes before holidays though?... Thanksgiving and Halloween! OMG OMG OMG.

This year we have a plan for the kids...if you can even call them kids anymore.

Remember when we were young and Halloween was one of the best days ever! When we'd ourselves dress up in silly costumes and raid houses for candy! Then as we had kids of our own we dressed them up in silly costumes and raid houses for candy! I can't even remember all of the costumes but I remember walking up the street in a massive pack with 11 kids and about 8 or 9 parents equipped with thermoses and toques trying to stay warm. At least it was dry that year. Bean was about 5, dressed like a witch and scared to death of the Scream mask. That was really evident when we got to a house and a guy dressed like that opened the door.

Bean screamed and cried, we couldn't even get her to walk up the driveway until he took off the mask and apologized profusely. Sese was always a trouper...it didn't matter what she was she wore a smile ( who wouldn't getting free candy ) even if she was covered in purple balloons dressed like a bunch of grapes and couldn't see in front of her.

Next came the parties where we almost didn't let T out of the house in what she was wearing. I can't even tell you what it was and neither can anyone else because all you could see was cleavage. Did we let her out of the house like that...no...she covered up...then uncovered at the party...of course...bad T.

So this year we have a surprise for the youngins that will hopefully give them some good solid memories. Not like it matters there will be film and pics so they'll never get to forget. They know nothing and they'll have to work but it'll be fun!

Be afraid though guys, be afraid.

Besides that Salt and I are going to try something with duct tape and the newlywed, Salt and I are going on a semi spiritual quest! What could possibly go wrong?!

  Maybe we should be afraid...

I've been having trouble getting the next video uploaded but it should load, eventually. I hope...

  Ok Lovelies, we'll talk soon

   See ya,
   S
