Hello Lovelies,
Alright 2 weeks to go before I'm on vacation and give or take a day until me and Blondunicorn ( who is a redhead right now ) are off to...I don't even know where yet but we will figure it out, more than likely just mere days before we go.
I would love to ride but I am consistently being told that there are things wrong with my girl. Carburetor first which still seems to be a problem so I'm told. Didn't feel like it to me but what do I know and now the Primary chain so it's killing me so I'm told only short rides no long ones and even then with our weather lately being really crappy...I feel stuck...and sad...and depressed...and then you get jerks that you call your friends giving you a hard time for not being out there when that's the only place I want to be is, out there, somewhere, getting lost.
I'm pretty sure that Choo is paranoid and just plain scared to death of me being out riding without him there to watch over me...not that he did really in the first place because he was gone all of the time out riding himself and then taking my bike and leaving.
Do I sound bitter?
Maybe a little...maybe I haven't quite gotten past that yet.
It's being held back that makes me bitter. I recently told BU that her bike had no reverse so why should she. Sure look in the rear-view and reflect but the only place you can go is forward. Bikes don't have a reverse and you have to force them to go backwards. Forward isn't always smooth either though but at least your moving, taking those ruts and bumps in the road where some of them slam your teeth together but you keep on moving.
I also read a phrase in a book recently "Hope strengthens, Fear kills" and that seems to resonate for me because to fear it locks you up. I don't even think it's a conscious think for him, I think he fears for me and considering he put it in front of me in the first place and fueled my obsession that's just too bad. Although it's pretty tough to stomp my feet and preach unfairness when I'm told things are wrong and don't have the experience to know how bad it it or be able to fix it myself so... I kind of have to trust those of knowledge even if it drives me nuts.
So that being said I torture myself daily with logic and emotion.
Emotion: "I'm going to ride whether he likes it or not!"
Logic: "What if I make the issues at hand worse?"
I daydream about being out there every...day and I can't be until she runs right so until them I live vicariously through others which makes me sad again but at least I have other things to occupy my time until then like baking ( my how domestic ) or reading ( which I do a lot of anyway ) or just living other moments.
Like going to visit something haunted and just getting away in general because it's never me that gets away. The kids, Choo, they get to get away when ever they want to and now it's my turn!!! This does a lot to help my mood. 2 more weeks I have to get through at work and then there is Canada Day our 150th so Bean is calling for Epicness and the house will try to provide that. She already has a Canadian menu happening including Poutine, Maple Leaf cookies, Naniamo bars and Smoked Salmon. She'll probably want pancakes for breakfast just so we can use syrup but that's my girl, she goes all out. Ketchup and All Dressed Chips
Check our some Foods Invented in Canada I was surprised by a couple actually!
Anyway guys, have a great week and I'll see you...somewhere. Instagram, Twitter you know, the usual!
See Ya

Deep Conversations Start In The Strangest Places.
Hello Lovelies!
I'm back from Vacation and already wishing I was still at home in bed.
Have you ever back to work and forgotten your passwords? Well that has happened.
Usually I would wait for a better moment to write this but I'm at a standstill right now so here we are!
Sooo...how was your week?
Mine was productive and yet counter productive at the same time. Out of the many things I wanted to do. I managed about 3 and that was ok with me. Sleeping in was not possible but that was alright and I got to enjoy my quiet mornings. There is so much to say and I really don't even know where to start??
Besides binge watching Letterkenny, practicing my art techniques, trying to help my sick dog, attempt yard work ( attempt being the operative word ), a Canada Day BBQ, waking up to porn and going for a tiny but actual ride away from my house it was a pretty mellow time!
You're stuck on waking up to porn aren't you...
...of course you are you sick freaks.
Should I start from the beginning?
Letterkenny - WATCH IT...don't ask questions just do it.
Art techniques - painting objects to look old for steampunk projects.
Sick Dog - my dogs symptoms are consistent in their randomness. One day she'll eat, then next she won't eat the same thing she ate the day before unless it's grass. she is refusing dog food but still mooches for human food, She'll throw up every 3 or 4 days usually grass, she won't want to get up one day but will be running and excited the next and is loosing weight. A vet trip is going to be needed.
Yard work - well I cut things back, mowed things down and dug things up. Not in that order and only enough to make things look neat...er. Our green waste bin weighs about 1000 lbs and it will take at least 3 or 4 of us to move it because of the constant food waste in a 7 person household so I'm thinking a compost bin will be a much better bet. At least we can use that to fertilize the yard and use the green waste bin for the yard waste.
Canada Day - Good old fashion family and fun.
Waking up to porn - You know how you fall asleep with your TV on? Well usually I'm asleep before 2am and in deep sleep by then. Not this time I went to bed late watching a movie on TMN and drifted off and you know how sounds filter into your sleep and dreams causing 'am I awake or dreaming questions'? In my sleep it sounded like COPS of a sort was on. They were using a bait car to catch car thieves, pretty simple right? Then I heard a phrase that would NOT be used on COPS...ever, and therefore I opened my eyes and looked at the TV. I did not expect what I saw.
Now the content itself didn't phase me but the position this woman was in most certainly did, oh she was the cop by the way and the perpetrator was not respecting her authority...wait maybe he was either way after my 'what the hell is that' moment and I figured out what it was I changed the channel and went back to sleep.
Now the next morning I was telling Lo about this and Bean had come upstairs in mid story. I even said that I couldn't continue because she was there but she's almost 21 and was curious plus we have a really open family.
You really know your children are grown when they except their mother trying to demonstrate the position she saw in a few seconds of XXX movie because she rolled with it and even wondered herself how porn stars can possibly twist themselves into pretzels and still look like they're enjoying themselves, seriously it was like a game of Twister gone horribly, horribly wrong. Anyway we laughed and laughed and went about our day. Until later when T found out about it then a whole new conversation started about what young girls see in men and how their emotional state contributes to how men see them and and what they really think about the way they are approached and treated by the opposite sex. There was guy involved in the conversation as well so it wasn't one sided. Among many other things I'm glad my girls feel comfortable talking to me and I have to say that I was enlightened about what girls their age really think about sex and adulthood from different perspectives.
Apparently Porn starts conversations. who would have thought.
My tiny ride. - Canada Day I woke up...stupid early, had a coffee shoved in my face and was told to down it and get dressed we were going to a parking lot for me to simply turn in a circle and lean. I've been learning in stages and for the most part whenever anyone talked about taking me to a lot it was always that someone else would have to ride my bike over to the lot. Not this time I was riding it myself and truly the lot was only 3 blocks down the street in a straight line, how could this go wrong! I suck back my coffee, grab my stuff, Choo goes out to warm up the bikes, I get my helmet on and...it starts raining. Now me riding pretty much scares him on a good day so going out in the rain, even a little was not happening for him. He was leaving for the Canyon Run to Lillooet BC the next day and wanted to get this in before he left. He was more upset that I was so he went off to grumble about typical BC weather while I puttered around the house. A couple of hours later he came out, checked the sky and we were back in business.
This is how little I know about rider etiquette. He was in front of me before we left, sitting off to the side, so I sat patiently waiting. It wasn't until Lo said he was waiting for me to lead that I clicked in. I thought I should follow him but no sure put me on the spot so he can see how terrible I am and correct me. We Got to the lot where he made me ride in circles and around the building. I gave him about 100 mini heart attacks but I was good and apparently I have great balance. I didn't put my feet down even turning slowly which I thought I would and most importantly I didn't drop her.
So it was my first official ride albeit short I had to cross traffic, ride with another person and was not on the road in front of my house. baby steps but steps none the less!
Ok I'm done for now but there is so much more.
Glad to be back to the routine. Have a great week!

Just Because It's Awesome.
Hello Lovelies!
I'm back from Vacation...sort of. I did have to come back to work for a day so that my co-worker could attend her daughters graduation...that she forgot about and asked at the last minute if I could come in, then it turned out that she had graduated the day before so she spent the day off taking her girl to get properly done up for her dinner dance. At least it was a Friday so I got to go into work in jeans.
I didn't do too much because it's been stupid hot and since they knocked the houses down behind us the heat is baking the yard. With the water restrictions being a bit heavier this year our back yard looks like a field of wheat that's been flattened like a crop circle. The nights are even worse though and sleeping solidly seems to be almost non existent and attempting to sleep in was not an option. The nights heat up it seems and if I was ok with bugs I'd just sleep out on the back porch because by 7pm outside is much cooler than inside. Unfortunately have you seen the shit that flies around at night besides the Bats? We have new, weird and strange bugs that like nighttime, our Hazelnut tree and that gives me the heebie jeebies.
So yesterday was Canada Day and we did our annual BBQ trying to keep it simple because of the heat but as every year we soak fruit in booze, put out the skewers and go for broke... after the meal of salads, burgers and hot dogs. This year it was Mango Splash Malibu that we doused our fruit salad with and it was pretty amazing! The usual suspects were there but we were missing a few that would normally be there but it was a good day! Unless you're Blondunicorn who decided we should have Mimosas but had never opened a Champagne bottle before and while my eyes were elsewhere she opened the bottle...straight up, not away from herself and got a cork in the lip...hard, splitting it and I wish I saw what she was doing so I could have warned her but you know what?
She'll never do that again now will she?
A few things about eating your alcohol is...
1) It's delicious
2) No hangover ( thank god )
3) The buzz is completely different
4) The socializing that happens as people enjoy it! It's brings us together as we discuss why the watermelon no matter what is always the fruit where the booze tastes the strongest.
Bean went all out with decorations, everything from $100 bill napkins to Canadian flag toothpicks, plates, tablecloth and a red and white packed with glitter top hat that had glitter EVERYWHERE and on everything. She loves her holidays that's for sure. There were firework restrictions too yesterday because it's been so dry but we could see a few rebels lighting them off from the back porch after the kids left to hunt down some they could watch traditionally.
All in all it was a good day, screaming hot but a good day! All we need is one day of rain...just one...full on downpour where I don't have to feel like the only relief would be stripping down naked and covering myself in an ice bath is my only recourse and yet I have to sleep with the covers on!
Ok guys, Have a great rest of the week!
Happy 4th coming for my US friends and family! I hope your day is as good as ours was!
