I don't usually do this, I'm more of a Post a week type of girl but after my trip home yesterday I had to share the wealth of knowledge I received from a bus patron.
I get on the bus in Vancouver and take the hour and fifteen minute ride home simple because it gives me more time to read. This trip however was vastly different from my usual ones. Almost all of the trip was normal until we got to Coquitlam Center where the bus sits for about 10 mins before it takes me on that last stretch home to Port Coquitlam.
As usual I sit in my regular spot, feet on the bar in front of me, book in hand, headphones in tuning out the world as I'm deep in another one in my head. Two guys get on, one kind of young and the other graying at the temples. The two are deep in conversation about the 701 bus to Maple Ridge and how it surprisingly left earlier than usual so they were taking my bus instead to get to where they needed to go. I don't crank my music so I can hear them but I'm not really caring. Chatter, chatter "What time is it anyway?" the older one says. The younger replies "I don't know I don't have my phone." As their conversation turns to how no one uses watches anymore I reach into my purse check the time and say "It's 5:52." Both men look at me and say thank you clearly shocked that I not only heard them but gave them what they asked for. Since the 701 runs ever 15-20 mins another showed up and the younger man decided to take it and they both got of my bus.
Ok back to reading I go until the older man gets back on and sits across from me and starts talking. After a minute or so it's pretty clear I'm not reading anymore so I pop out a headphone and close my book.
Him - What are you reading?
Me - Oh it about Vampires
Him - Oh really? That's pretty cool!
I nodded for a second thinking I was going to be able to spend the last 10 mins of my ride with tunes in my head as the sun streamed in the window beside me.
Him - You know why that's cool?
I shrugged and shook my head.
Him - Vampire stories are awesome! Even more so because I am one.
Slow blink...slow blink again. Assessing the situation here before I move on.
Him - Actually I'm a Werewolf/Vampire
Alrighty then...again with the slow blinking and an even slower nod.
Me - Interesting...
Him - Ya I had to get my fangs removed when I was a kid because they were too big and I kept cutting my lips.
Me - Oh really?
This being quietly said because my flight response was pounding in my brain and I was in a moving vehicle wondering how unhinged the man across from me was.
Oh wait he's still talking.
He leans forward and shows me his thumb and pinky nails. My brain is hammering that he's too close just way to close to me but I hold it together and look down.
Him - The nails are the worst when the elongate on the full moon! ( He actually used ELONGATE)
Me - ( because I'm stupid and have to encourage the guy ) How bad is it?
HIm - OH IT'S THE WORST! They just shred through!
He continues to tell me he took a trip to Transylvania and proved his blood ties to Dracula. I think I stopped breathing at one point because that seemed to be one hell of a statement. Blah blah he continues next thing I heard that his sensei cut off his long dark hair with a Samurai sword.
Where the hell am I and why is this ride taking so long????? I looked him in the eye though the whole time and then he leaned forward again and as serious as could be he says...
"Vampires are real...you better believe it." In my head I said "I believe that you believe it."
His stop approached and he said thank you for the conversation smiling the whole way and stood up. Just before he turned to leave he said "Oh! My name's Whitey!...Ah...no offence."
Is it strange that the No Offence line rocked me harder that his forward I'm a vampireness? My own daughter told me she forgets I'm black. I just smiled and said no problem.
He caught sight of my natural fang and said "Yup that's what I'm talkin about." Ya...not creepy at all.
I will leave you now back to your normalcy while I try to reclaim mine!
See Ya

Demon Dolls...
Hello Lovelies!
A couple of weeks ago I had told you about going to see the new Avengers movie but apparently I forgot either the best or creepiest parts of the night out.
Whenever we go to Silvercity we park in the farthest parking lot so that we don't have to fight people leaving the theater in the front lot. So as we park in our usual place and the 4 of us pile out of the car and get ourselves situated for the trek to the movie Bean steps away from the group and comes back laughing.
Bean: "Hey come here look what I found!"
Allan is the first one to her as Blondunicorn moves quickly after him.
Allan: "It's a doll..." rather nonchalantly as only Allan can do.
As I circle around and look down by her feet there is a naked doll on the ground and from what I can see it's missing a leg laying face down on the pavement. Bean kicked it over to reveal half a missing head and an eye, only tufts of hair and a creepy smile.
Me: "Well your going to die now...!"
Bean: "Mom...I'm not going to die now!"
Me: "Yes you are, you touched it and that's how this shit goes."
Allan was nodding and shaking his head at the same time as Blondunicorn and Bean took a closer look at the mangled demon object that I had already determined it was. Pointing out the destruction that creepy one legged thing had happen to it.
As we walked towards the theater BU had realized she had forgotten her phone in the car so we waited out front and she went back to get it. When she came back we headed inside to the line up that awaited us. Once we get in and find our seats, I've got BU on one side and Bean on the other, BU whips out her phone.
BU: "Hey look what I got!"
Pictures of said doll....have I mentioned I hate dolls? Have I also mentioned that they all know I hate dolls?
Me: "Great...now you're going to die too"
BU: "I'm not going to die!"
Me: "No? Now we're all going to die because we've all seen it or touched it."
BU: "We're not going to die!"
Me: "Do you watch horror movies?"
BU: "Not because I want to..."
Me: "Then shush and delete that right now!"
She shrugs...
BU: "Hang on I'm texting it to Bean"
Me: "You're texting it to Bean!... No! This is all forms of wrong! Sure there you go, touch it...poke it... take a picture of it and start texting it? Oh god..."
Bean: "Got it! Man that's creepy!" as she leans over to show Allan.
BU: "Ok it's deleted."
Me: "Well it's too late now! You passed it on...it's all over."
They were killing me...all I could think about was the Twilight Zone Talking Tina Episode that started it all for me. Well that and my brother constantly trying to scare the crap out of me using my dolls because of that episode when I was 8. Ghost Adventures and their Doll Island Episode too creeped me out!
By now my inner Screenwriter is screaming out the many possible and horrific ways this story could play out on screen and and kill us all and such thoughts almost made me grab her phone and throw it into the rows of seats ahead.
The guy with his girlfriend sitting on the other side of BU found this very amusing while we discussed the specifics of doll possession. A week later that same guy walked into BU's work and remembered us and our banter saying that we had entertained him while waiting for the movie to start. She on the other hand could only remember him by his arms because he had full sleeves (tattoos) and was sharing an armrest with her.
Well nobody died, no mysterious dolls ended up in our yard or house and until this weekend when we were talking about the doll situation I had realized that I had totally forgotten about it! I almost wish I had the pic so I could show you how creepy it was but...that would go against everything I'm saying now wouldn't it?
Sooo...Blondunicorn and Bean...we're going to sit down and watch Annabel and see if you understand what I'm talking about.
Have a great week!

Scary Movie Love Lessons? Let's discuss!
Hi guys!
On Wednesday I had tweeted this link below...
15 Love Lessons From Your Favorite Scary Movies | YourTango
Now after reading the article I figured that hey why not let's explore this topic a bit more seeing as it's October and all things scary, bludgeoning and creepy are allowed to be prominent until Halloween. Well that and I had to add my 2 cents. I might not be able to get everything into 1 Blog post but we're going to check this out.
1) Don't have sex in the woods. - Um Duh...does anything even need to be said there? Not only can you be brutally murdered but if you survive and come home your Bestie will be picking twigs out of your hair.
2) If your Boyfriend is really creepy, he's probably a killer. - Let's see...why date a creepy guy anyway? He's creepy! Who wants creepy guy? You don't really know what he's thinking and if you have to second guess his creepy actions...GET...OUT!
3) Stop splitting up - YES people! Why is it that when someone says "We should split up" someone doesn't smack him up the side of the head and says "Are you stupid? We all die that way!" because they do...all the time...
4) Check on your oversexed roomie from time to time. - Ok...sure but do we really want to? There might be things we don't want to see...or hear...or know about in any way. Besides Oversexed does not mean LOUD so if your oversexed roomie isn't usually loud and you one night can hear strange, gurgling that might or might not be sex noises just yell from the door. "Moan loud and long for sex and Grunt twice for I'm being strangled" We'll get the message, bust in and save you...or go blind one of the 2.
5) Beware of Mama's Boys - well that depends. A boy that takes care of his mother and cares about his mother is one thing because she raised him right and will have some respect for women. A boy that has an unhealthy almost obsession with his mother you know like their a bit too close well that's another story and you don't want to get in the middle of that because if the boy doesn't kill you...then Mama will.
6) Being pretty isn't everything - Well...being pretty isn't everything but might not be a bad thing either! Jamie Lee Curtis is pretty and survived in Halloween, she may have been mentally scarred forever but she survived because being pretty and smart saves lives while being pretty and dumb as a post gets you killed.
7) Seeing dead people isn't a gift - I agree but if you're seeing ghosts that are just hanging out with loved ones or you know intact and trying to speak to you sure but if they are lets say 13 Ghosts type ghosts...HELL NO! Anything name Juggernaut or missing half their flesh and covered in blood is not the type of ghosts I want to see. Find something that makes those guys go away! I like sleeping and nothing should destroy that!
8) Watch out for over obsessive people - Yes like a Bestie of mine that is a tad OCD about cleaning. She will probably stab you with a fork if you disrupt her...um...cleanliness and sanity right Kris?...ya stay away from them because you never know what can make them snap and decapitate you in a murderous rage that they will have to clean up later but you know what I mean.
9) Do NOT buy a house with your significant other that people have died in - Another Duh... statement! Cheap why? because there was a mass murder? Well that's the perfect place to raise a family! Are you kidding? Not only do you have ghosts and possible possessions happening of your loved ones you have the constant stigma of being the people that live in the murder house. Unless you live with Ryan Reynolds and 28 mins into the remake of the Amityville Horror, he's shirtless for 8 mins take that and then move the hell out. He can leave the shirt behind. I have to say as well though that if you child is telling you they see things....TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY!
you never know...
Ok guys I'll go through the next 5 later but feel free to add you own 2 cents wherever! Twitter, Facebook, G+ ect.
